3D Printed Vase for Salt Diffusion Tests
When there is a need for a specific task, the hardware needed to achieve this task may not always be readily available. This situation occurred during my co-op at Dupont. There was need to perform salt-diffusion testing, but there was no hardware available to do so. I solved this problem by rapidly developing and producing 3D printed vases tailored to salt-diffusion tests.
By retrieving the requirement from the R&D department and building off of their previous set-up, I was able to produce a vase that could have a solution flow through the inside chamber at the required flow rate. This helped the R&D team stay on schedule with testing and producing viable data.
